Petition: A pedestrian crossing outside Dodworth Library

We, the undersigned residents of Dodworth, call on Barnsley Council to install a pedestrian crossing on the road outside Dodworth Library.

This stretch, between the Co-op and the Library, is used every day by families, older residents and children — including those attending the new nursery based at the Library. Residents have raised serious concerns about speeding and illegal parking on the zig-zags near the chemist, and about the lack of a safe place to cross. This isn't a hypothetical risk — it's something people are telling me they deal with every week.

We are calling on Barnsley Council to act now, before someone is seriously hurt.
