Marie Tidball MP, the Member of Parliament for Penistone and Stocksbridge, worked with Dave and Sarah Hampshaw, the owners of Woodland Brewing and Penistone Tap on Market Street, to bring their ‘Glass Tiles’ beer to the Stranger’s Bar in the Palace of Westminster. The beer will be on sale during the month of May.
Marie dropped into the Stranger’s Bar to buy a pint, as well as visiting Penistone Tap and Brew House in the constituency, to try some of their other beers - ‘Stargazer’, ‘Painted Tiles’, and ‘Krush’.
“We’re really honoured to have been chosen to have our beer showcased in Parliament, as an independent brewery based in a small town in South Yorkshire.“The brewery is our family’s baby - we started our first commercial brew in January 2018, selling flights of beer out of the Market Barn in Penistone. It’s really taken off since then, so we’re really proud of what we’ve made.”

“From Penistone Market Barn to Parliament, I’m absolutely thrilled that we’re breaking glass ceilings by serving ‘Glass Tiles’ in Parliament over the next two weeks. I couldn’t be prouder to showcase this little bit of home in The House!“The beer is light, silky and smooth, with notes of honey and a great head on it. Dave and Sarah have created something so refreshing, and it was lovely to try some of their other craft beers at the Penistone Tap too.“They are brilliant local business people and innovators as well - they do ‘bring your own refill bottles’ and takeaway beers, perfect for summer barbeques across our constituency!”
